Winter is coming: How I deal with the winter blues.. the face edition

Hai!

Got dry skin?

Then you'd really want to read this...

These products have really helped me through the cold dry winter here in Canada, and it gets C O L D here in Toronto. My skin type is dry and I'd categorize it as super dry in the winter times, if that even exists. To help you visualize, I will literally get dry patches on my face, and those dry patches don't pick and choose they just randomly appear, wherever they please. As you can probably tell, this is super frustrating because as we all know, foundations/bb creams/concealers or any make up for that matter looks absolutely horrid on dry patches and they are noticable. So let me introduce you to my dream team...

My undereye area gets particulary dry and this little baby have truly been an angel sent from above, like seriously. This particular eye cream just strictly moisturizes and it does a darn good job at it. Unfortunately, it doesn't do much else in terms of treatment, no depuffing action or any of that good stuff. However, it totally makes up for it with its moisturizing power because that does not lack whatsoever. All you need is a bit and I mean a wee bit, because it really does go a long way. The consistency is super creamy and it takes a bit of time to spread out, but take heart because your hard work will pay off! ;) I can't say enough about this eyecream, I just love it and I'd give it 10/10 for functionality!

Khiel's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

This moisturizer and I go way back, I've received my very first one from my dearest bestest friend in the world and I owe her the world for it, because this product is amazing for my dry skin. I can safely say that I would recommend this product to anyone that have problems with their dry skin, it moisturizes and it helps minimize my pores. The downside to this product is that the smell is slightly off-putting and can drive some people away, but for the benefits, I'd say its worth it! It has just worked so well for me and I always have a back up hope in jar laying somewhere in the drawer :) Again, all you need is a bit of product because a small amount goes a long way! I use this cream strictly at night because it tends to have a little bit of oil residue, which I don't mind so much while I am asleep.

Next up, is my go-to moisturizing mask! My first impression of this mask is that it smells ike peaches and cream! and who doesn't want their face to smell like peaches and cream?! (unless you hate peaches, then I get it, but we're no longer friends, just sayin') More than the yummy scent, it also has it's perks, including it's moisturizing abilities (duh) and what I love about it the most is how quick this mask works! Let's be real, some days we just have absolutely no time to sit there for 20-30 minutes with a mask on... BUT I can literally use this mask right before getting ready for an event or party and get beautiful, plump, glowly skin? yes, please! A bonus is you can also use this mask overnight for that extra surge of moisture! Take your pick, 10 minutes or overnight.. because choices are always great :p

ORIGINS Drink Up

Last but not least, the newest member... I'm gonna be honest and say I've only used this mask 4 times, but I have a pretty good idea of how I feel about it. I like it a lot so far and my skin have definitely benefitted from this mask. It feels awesome, it has a really nice cooling effect while it moisturizes your skin and it smells like coconuts (which is nice, I guess.. I'm not crazy about coconuts) It definitely helps treat dry skin in terms of adding moisture directly into your skin, but I personally don't feel like it helps treat the dry patches on my face. However, the results are noticably softer skin and plumper skin. I'm going to continue to use it and will share how I feel about it in the near future!

GLAMGLOW ThirstyMud

Those are the products that I will definitely be grabbing on a daily basis this winter! Have you tried any of these products?? Let me know if any of you have any product recommendations for my dry skin! Ciao!
